Annual Christmas Tree Hunt

Every year we have been going to cut trees in Joseph. We stay in Richfield and eat dinner at the Big Rock Candy Mountain. It is a great challenge to find the perfect imperfect tree. We love that fresh pine scent and fun times with the family.

Goin to IHOP!

Rachel's kids really love decorating pancakes at IHOP. Grandma likes the IHC discount. Rachel likes getting out of the house to shop with mom and have lunch.

Carthage and Nauvoo

Nauvoo!

I have always wanted to see Nauvoo and we had the opportunity in November. It was great. We were entertained by a play put on by all of the senior missionaries and enjoyed the spirit of that special place. We also got to see Carthage, Hannabal (Mark Twain's birthplace) and St. Louis.

Washington DC

We went to a franchise convention in Washington DC and took in some sights. It was great!

Peaches!

Nathan and I planted fruit trees and this year the peach tree decided to be very productive! Thanks, Jolene for helping save the day.

Caitlyn's Tonsil and Adnoidectomy

We are happy to report that Caitlyn survived her first medical adventure which was surgery followed by gastroenteritis. She lost 20 lbs in 3 weeks but is still keeping up with everyone electronically.

Sunday Dinner in the Park

Twice a month we have the big family dinner at our house. This time we decided to enjoy the good weather and celebrate Beau Jr's birthday in the park. It was wonderful and he really enjoyed his new bug catching net.

Girl's Night Out

All of us girls and my good friend Jan from high school decided to see Mama Mia. It was difficult to refrain from dancing in the isles.

More Grand Cayman

It was a great place to visit. We made it between hurricanes.

Allen's Knee Surgery

Allen finally got his knee repaired after our vacation. He had been limping for weeks. He thought the hospital outfit was to coolest.

Family Trip to Oceanside

We made our (almost) annual trip to Oceanside on the week of July 4th. It was wonderful, fog and all! Jolene even maintained her status as fisherwoman extrordinare. Heather caught the jackpot on a previous trip.

January 2008 Cruise with Riley and Eva

This whole idea of cruising in January could catch on. Riley and Eva Prestwich invited us to go on their ward activity which was a group rate cruise to the Southern Carribbean. It was wonderful.
